Sixteen persons have died in a road accident on Tuesday along Alaro City, Epe area of Lagos State.
The Federal Road Safety Corps, Lagos Command, said two vehicles with 23 persons onboard were involved in which 16 died, five critically injured, and two suffered no injuries.
The command spokesperrson Olabisi Sonusi said the accident, caused by impaired visibility due to reckless driving, occurred at 3:00 am on Tuesday.
Mr Sonusi said the five injured victims have been hospitalized, adding that “the vehicles involved in the crash were a white bus with Registration number KTN 262YJ and an Articulated truck (Registration Number unknown).”
“FRSC operatives and other emergency management agencies are on ground, ensuring prompt recovery and evacuation of all crashed vehicles,” he said.
