The Federal Government delegation led by the National Security Adviser, Mohammed Manguno, visited Niger State Governor Abubakar Sani Bello.
President Muhammadu Buhari had earlier directed the heads of security organisations to ensure immediate and safe return of all the 27 students and 17 staff of Government Science College, Kagara, Niger State, abducted by bandits early Wednesday morning.
Governor Bello visited Kagara town in the afternoon where he interacted with the school management, but failed to meet with the families of the victims.
Also, the federal government delegation met with the state governor in Minna, but didn’t go to Kagara, the scene of the incident.
As at the time the delegation arrived in Minna, the Niger State capital, the service chiefs was still being screened at the National Assembly.
