Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) has alerted air travellers in the country of flight disruptions in the form of rescheduling, delays and outright cancellations across airports in the country, over the acute scarcity of JetA1, also known as aviation fuel.
In a notice on Friday, signed by Prof Obiora Okonkwo, AON spokesman, the operators said the disruptions were not desired but we’re the anticipated consequences of the fuel shortage.
The operators therefore solicited the understanding of travellers while efforts are ongoing to address the development and restore normal flight operations.
The AON reiterated it’s commitment to rendering seamless air transport service across the country.
