Fire had destroyed a store and toilet at the Staff Primary School, Bayero University Kano (BUK) old site in Kano.
This was disclosed by the Kano State Fire Service in a statement by its spokesperson Saminu Abdullahi, on Wednesday.
He said the incident occurred on Tuesday evening.
The statement said, “we received a distress call at about 05:53 p.m. from one Halliru Bello and immediately sent our rescue team to the scene at about 5:58 p.m to stop fire from spreading to the other classes.
“A ground floor building of about 200 by 200ft used as a staff children primary school, one block containing Headmaster’s office, men staff room, women staff room where slightly burnt while one store and one toilet was completely razed by the inferno.
Mr Abdullahi said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
