Long queues that have dotted the fuel station landscape in Abuja suddenly became much shorter at the beginning of this week.
In many stations the queues disappeared altogether.
It turned out that fuel did not suddenly become available. Instead, marketers quietly adjusted the pump price from the official N165 to N185 per litre.
The motorists who until the weekend were forming long queues to buy fuel suddenly disappeared from the stations.
What happened? Are they not moving around again? Where were they taking all that fuel before?
Please motorists, don’t give government a clue, that anytime long queues form at petrol stations, all that it needs to do for them to disappear is to quietly tell marketers to adjust pump prices upwards.
