Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has picked former Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima as running mate for 2023 elections.
Tinubu unveiled Senator Shettima on Sunday in Daura, Katsina state during a Sallah homage to President Muhammadu Buhari.
21st CENTURY CHRONICLE exclusively reported on Friday that Mr Tinubu would reveal his running mate shortly after his return from France.
Mr Shettima is a trained banker and two-term governor of Borno state. He played a key role in Tinubu’s emergence as APC flag bearer in 2023 elections.
Th senator has toured many states with Mr Tinubu since December 2021 where he addressed party delegates and mobilised support for the former Governor of Lagos State.
Mr Shettima was born on September 2, 1966, and his he is married with three children.
