Three All Progressives Congress [APC] governors have met with Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike in Port Harcourt.
Governor Wike was defeated by Atiku Abubakar at the PDP presidential primary and subsequently lost out in the race to become Atiku’s running mate.
The governors are Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti, Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo and Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos.
The governors were accompanied by Ekiti State Governor-elect, Biodun Oyebanji; former Ekiti State governor and Peoples Democratic Party chieftain, Ayodele Fayose, among others.
It was learnt that the meeting with the APC chieftains and others took place at Wike’s country home in the Port Harcourt area of the state.
It was not clear why the APC governors visited Wike, who is said to be aggrieved over the pick of Delta Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as PDP vice presidential candidate.
