Bandits have abducted a Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Birnin Gwari local government of Kaduna State.
This is coming days after another DPO was kidnapped in Nasarawa Eggon local government of Nasarawa State.
The senior police officer was abducted on Monday morning, it was learned.
Security sources said the DPO, who was newly posted to Kaduna’s most troubled area, was abducted along Kaduna-Birnin Gwari highway, on his way to reporting to his new duty post.
There was no immediate statement over the incident from the police command in the state.
