The Federal Government on Thursday, disclosed that the attack on a Catholic church in Owo, Ondo State was carried out by the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP).
It said its intelligence confirmed that ISWAP fighters perpetrated the dastardly act which resulted in the death of 40 worshipers.
According to Daily Trust, the development was disclosed by the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, while briefing journalists at the end of the National Security Council in Abuja.
The minister said security agencies had been directed to go after the perpetrators of the act and bring them to justice.
