Jigawa Governor Abubakar Badaru on Saturday night withdrew from the All Progressives Congress presidential contest.
Badaru is only Northern Governor gunning for the APC presidential ticket in 2023.
The withdrawal came less than two days to the ruling party’s primary election billed for slated for Monday and after 11 APC Governors advised President Muhammadu Buhari to cede power to the South in 2023.
The governors and party leaders made their position known in a communique at the end of a meeting in Abuja.
