The National President of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) and Deputy President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Dr. Nasir Idris has emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s governorship primary in Kebbi State.
Idris polled 1055 votes to defeat Senate Majority Leader, Yahaya Abdullahi and another contestant in the primary election which was held in Birnin Kebbi.
According to the chairman of the APC Kebbi governorship primaries, Idris Yahuza Ya’akub, who announced the results, the Senate Majority Leader, Yahaya scored zero vote while the third aspirant, retired Deputy Comptroller-General of Customs, Abubakar Mallam secured 35 votes.
