The member representing Chanchaga Federal Constituency, in the House of Representatives, Umar Bago has emerged the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in Niger State.
Bago polled 540 votes to emerge as the candidate in the party’s primary which was held at the Legbo Kutigi International Conference Center, Minna.
According to the result announced by the returning officer for the election, Nasiru Ibrahim, Mohammed Malagi, a media entrepreneur and publisher of BLUEPRINT newspapers, came second with 386 votes.
Sani Ndanusa came third with 84 votes; the incumbent deputy governor, Mohammed Ketso, polled 17 votes, while Mohammed Nda got 1 vote.
