Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun; his Zamfara and Kwara states counterparts, Bello Mohammed Matawalle and AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, have secured return tickets in their respective states.
The trio would be contesting for their second term bid on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023.
In the primary conducted at the main bowl of the MKO Abiola Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Mr Abiodun scored 1,168 votes while other aspirants had nil.
Other contestants in the election include Abdulkabir Akinlade, Biyi Otegbeye, Modele Sarafa-Yusuf, Owodunni Opayemi, and Remi Bakare.
In Zamfara State, Matawalle emerged unopposed.
Chairman, Committee for Governorship Primary Elections in the state, Babagana Tijjani-Banki, who declared Matawalle winner of the exercise, said out of 735 delegates, 733 votes were validly cast.
He commended the delegates for showing maturity and good conduct during the election.
Similarly, 961 delegates voted to endorse the second term ambition of Governor AbdulRazaq via affirmation at the governorship primary election in Ilorin, Kwara State.
A total of 965 delegates were in attendance at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Ilorin, but four votes were deemed invalid as they did not properly fill their ballots.
Governorship and House of Assembly Primaries Committee, Chairman for the state, Professor Emmanuel Dandaura, pronounced Governor AbdulRazaq validly nominated to run for second term, while commending his excellent performance as declared by the delegates.
