A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant and former Governor of Anambra State. Mr Peter Obi, has quit the race and dumped the party as well .
He pulled out of the race nearly 72 hours to the party’s national convention, slated for Abuja.
Mr Obi has already submitted his resignation letter to the PDP chairman of his ward in Anambra on Wednesday.
The former running mate to the PDP presidential candidate in 2019 has also communicated his decision to the national chairman of PDP, Dr Iyorchia Ayu.
Director General, Peter Obi Campaign Organisation, Dr Doyin Okupe, has asked Nigerians not to give up on Mr Obi as he would be on the ballot for the 2023 Presidential poll.
