Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom on Tuesday, visited former President Goodluck Jonathan at his Maitama residence in Abuja.
The two leaders met behind closed doors for more than 40 minutes, it was learnt.
The duo exchanged pleasantries with everyone after the meeting but declined to speak to journalists.
Chief Press Secretary to Governor Orton, Nathaniel Ikyur, told journalists that the leaders discussed frankly.
“They only came out, smilingly with the ex-president exchanging courtesies with everyone on the governor’s entourage.
“They obviously discussed the Peoples Democratic Party and the future of Nigeria,” he said.
