No fewer than five people have died and others injured in a clash between Yoruba and Hausa traders at Sasa market in Ibadan, Oyo state.
Some part of the market was also set ablaze during the crisis that happened on Friday.
Residents said the crisis erupted after a pregnant Yoruba woman died at an hospital after a fight between her and a tomatoes seller who is an Hausa at the market, BBC reports.
After her death traders belonging to the two ethnic group engaged each other in a fight, leading to the death of five people.
Although normalcy has since been restored by security agencies, the Hausa community in the area said they were now living in fear.
