Senate President Ahmed Lawan has joined the 2023 presidential race under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He picked the party’s Expression of Interest and Nomination forms on Monday.
The associates of the Yobe-born lawmaker, led by his friends led by Chief Sam Nkire, a member of the National Caucus of the party and 15 other Senators, purchased the form for him at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
Lawan has been at the National Assembly since 1999, first a House of Reps member and later as a senator.
