Former Zamfara State Governor, Ahmad Sani Yarima, on Friday formally joined the 2023 presidential race.
The former governor has met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa to inform him of his intention to run for the country’s highest office.
After the meeting, Yarima will formally declare at the NICON Luxury, Abuja Friday afternoon, it was learned.
Yarima was Zamfara governor between 1999 and 2007. He came to the national limelight after he adopted Sharia legal system in the state.
