Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board (KSPWB) has set a May 12 deadline for all intending pilgrims to complete payment.
Executive Secretary of the board, Alhaji Mohammed Abba Danbatta, gave the ultimatum while briefing journalists on preparations for the 2022 hajj, on Thursday.
Danbatta said any intending pilgrim above 65 years have been banned from attending this year’s hajj.
He said so far 2,500 intending pilgrims from the state have contributed a portion of the Hajj funds and they would give priority to those who had initially deposited their money to the board.
