One person has died and 10 others sustained various degrees of injuries in a road accident along Kano-Zaria highway involving 11 family members.
Eyewitnesses said the accident occurred around 2:30 pm on Thursday.
The Federal Road Safety Sector Commander, Hafiz Mohammed, confirmed the accident, but said detail about the cause of the accident was still sketchy.
“Yes my men were at the scene of the accident around Zaria and they confirmed that only one person died but they rushed 10 other family members to Teaching Hospital Shika in Zaria,” he said.
Mohammed said the accident occurred at Dumbin Rauga after Zaria towards Kaduna around 3:20pm, adding that the vehicle involved in the tragedy was a Toyota Hiace with registration number KKR 100 XA.
