Suspected robbers have attacked the residence of an APC chieftain and former member of the Federal House of Representatives, Faruk Adamu Aliyu, in Kano.
The attack was carried out Tuesday night, 21st CENTURY CHRONICLE has learned.
The attackers, it was learned, forcefully gained entry into the house and injured the security men stationed at the gate.
The robbers tied the security personnel but couldn’t reach Aliyu’s family, it was revealed.
The family were saved by the arrival of a detachment of police officers.
Mr Aliyu’s wife, Hajiya Zuwaira Aliyu, howver, revealed in a Facebook post that it was an assassination attempt on her husband but God saved him.
Spokesperson of the Kano police command, SP Abdullahi Haruna, has confirmed the incident.
