President Muhammadu Buhari currently in closed-door with the Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Tambuwal is one of the front runners for the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential ticket ahead of the 2023 election.
He turned down overtures by newsmen to speak on the reason for his visit to the State House.
Although the reason for his visit to Villa was sketchy, sources said it may not be unconnected with the political situation in the country.
His meeting with the president came days after the plans for a northern PDP’s consensus aspirant hit the rocks.
