At least one person was killed and about seven others were wounded in an explosion at a beer parlour in Yobe state.
The blast took place at a beer joint, popularly known as ‘Gidan Amarya’ in Gashua, headquarters of Bade Local Government Area of the state.
This is coming days after Boko Haram terrorists slaughtered about 10 persons at ‘Kwari,’ a brothel in Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe.
The Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP), last week, said it was behind the attacks on two bars in Taraba State.
Witnesses said the explosion took place around 8pm on Sunday.
Residents scampered for safety after the huge blasts.
Chairman of Bade local government, Sanda Kara Bade, said he had mobilised a security team into the scene.
Bade said the wounded were evacuated for treatment at a government facility.
