Former spokesperson to Benue State governor, Terver Akase has been appointed as a special adviser to the governor.
The Benue State House of Assembly approved the nomination of Mr Akase on Thursday.
In September, Akase resigned his appointment as the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Samuel Ortom to pursue his governorship ambition.
However, the zoning arrangements in the two Tiv dominated senatorial zones did not favour him.
The party leaders and stakeholders from Tiv extraction had zoned the governorship to Jechira where he (Akase) hails from but the micro zoning knocked him out.
Last week, Governor Ortom said he would reabsorb all his appointees not favoured with the party zoning arrangements.
Mr Akase has confirmed the nomination.
