The new vice chancellor of Federal University of Dutse, Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Muhammed, has promised to run an inclusive administration based on ideas and committee system universities are known for.
Muhammed disclosed this on Wednesday while taking over from the outgoing vice chancellor, Professor Fatima Batul Mukhtar in Dutse.
“As universities are run on the basis of ideas and committee system, I intend to carry these critical segment of the university: council, management, staff and students along as we move forward. I want to appeal to the university community especially to our unions namely: ASUU, SSANU, NASU, NAAT and SUG to join hands with me to move the university to our desired height,” Prof Muhammed said.
The new VC said he is fully aware of the enormity of the responsibility bestowed on him.
“Going forward, I want to assure our council, management, staff and students that I am aware of the huge responsibility that comes with this position and I intend to do my utmost best to discharge my duty to the best of my ability,” he said.
Professor Mukhtar congratulated the new VC and prayed to Allah to guide him in the discharge of his responsibilities.
