The Federal Government said health workers must take tough action to stop the spread by not ruling out COVID-19 even while treating malaria patients.
Director-General Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu, also raised an alarm Monday at the briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 in Abuja that Nigerian is running out of treatment facilities.
He also urged those in the frontline to maintain “a higher index of suspicion for COVID-19.”
Nigeria records 1,244 new COVID-19 infections. So far Nigeria has recorded 101,331 confirmed cases, 1, 361 deaths and 80,491 discharged from the pandemic.
