The Dakkiti community in Akko local government area of Gombe State has benefitted from the federal government’s rural electrification effort.
An 85KWP solar power project designed to change the socioeconomic status of the residents has been commissioned by the Rural Electrification Agency, its managing director, Salihijo Ahmed said.
He said the 100 units of solar panel project consists of 96 batteries and 30KVA generator.
He noted that the gesture was amongst the federal government’s efforts to power unserved and underserved rural communities.
