Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kusada local government area in Katsina state, Alhaji Abdulhamid Umar Baurayya, has been suspended for alleged scuffle with party members.
The decisions was announced by the executive members of the party in Baurayya Ward.
The suspension letter dated February 2, 2021 and signed by 27 executive members, said the suspension was indefinite pending the outcome of an investigation of myriad of allegations leveled against him.
The party executives accused Baurayya of creating division among party members in the local government, and engaging in scuffle with party members.
Other allegations the chairman was accused of included misappropriation, issuing of threats of expulsion and flagrant abuse of the constitution of the party.
The suspended chairman couldn’t be reached for comments as his phone lines were switched off.
