A Deeper Life Bible Church pastor and three other farmers were on Tuesday killed in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.
Guma recently has been experiencing severe attacks by gunmen, causing the increase of displaced people in camps across the state.
Witnesses said the gunmen ambushed the cleric while he was travelling from his base at Umenger village to Gbajimba around Waku village, the headquarters of Guma LGA for a religious function on Tuesday morning.
But, the other three people – two women and a man – were hacked to death while working on their farms in Nyiev council ward in the same Guma LGA.

Chairman of Guma LGA, Caleb Aba, told our correspondent by telephone that the trio went to fetch locust beans from their farm in Nyiev council ward when they were attacked and killed.
Aba further confirmed that the pastor was killed around Waku village.
