Two persons have died in an accident involving the convoy of Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum on Tuesday.
A source says the accident occurred early in the morning of Tuesday when the governor was returning to Maiduguri after his trip to Mafa local government area for the membership revalidation exercise of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The source said the vehicle conveying the Mai-Kanuribe of Lagos, Alhaji Mustapha Mohammed, alongside his friend, somersaulted after a deflated tyre, leading to their death.
21st Century Chronicle recalls that Boko Haram terrorists twice attacked Zulum’s convoy in 2020, leading to the death of more than 30 security agencies in his convoy.
