A former governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari, was among the aspirants that have so far purchased expression of interest and nomination forms to contest for the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s national chairmanship ahead of its national convention slated for March 26.
This is even as the party has already zoned its national chairmanship ticket to the North Central.
Yari hailed from Zamfara State in the North West.
The party had announced the sale of its nomination and expression of interest forms on Tuesday.
Other aspirants who have also picked their forms to contest the position, include Saliu Mustapha and former governor of Nasarawa, Abdulahi Adamu.
Others are a former governor of Nasarawa, Tanko Al-Makura, and Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, George Akume.
