COVID-19: Nigeria records 1,588 new infections
Nigeria has recorded 1,588 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the total number in the country to 139,242.
This was revealed on the official twitter page of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Saturday.
It said the new infections were reported from 21 states.
NCDC said the country had so far tested 1,302,410 people since the first confirmed case of COVID-19 was recorded on February 27, 2020.
It said it has registered additional six COVID-19-related deaths in the last 24 hours. This brings the death toll to 1,647 in the country.
