All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State has vowed to pullout of the local government election slated for May 7 in the state.
Chairman of the party, Mr. Austin Agada, told journalists in Makurdi on Monday that the poll outcome would be decided in favour of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in the state.
He said the State Independent Electoral Commission has consistently displayed it’s bias against the APC, adding that SIEC has been the lapdog of Governor Samuel Ortom’s administration.
“On the forthcoming Benue State local government elections, we have consulted widely and come to the painful conclusion that our party will not field candidates for the selection (election) process owing to the dishonest manner the Benue State Independent Electoral Commission has been conducting their affairs.
“We can gauge the end from the beginning that the system would not guarantee an iota of fairness to contestants on the APC platform,” he noted.
