Some newly-wed brides have been abducted in fresh attacks in Lavun Local Government Area of Niger State on Sunday.
The Sunday attacks is coming hours after another rounds of attacks on the communities by the bandits.
The villagers deserted the communities after the first attack. When the assailants returned, they abducted many people that were yet to flee including newlyweds at Egbako village.
The bandits invaded the communities on about 40 motorcycles, armed with AK 47 and heavy ammunition.
Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs, Community Development and Internal Security, in the state Emmanuel Umar, said bandits attacked Lavun after ransacking communities in Wushishi and Mashegu Local Government Areas.
