The National Examination Council (NECO) on Thursday released the results of the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) it conducted nationwide between June and July this year.
Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the organisation, Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, announced the release of the results in Minna on Thursday.
He said more than 878,925 candidates recorded credit in five subjects including English Language and Mathematics.
The Registrar said that 1,226,796 candidates scored five credits irrespective of English and Mathematics while 1,094,291 candidates had credit in Mathematics.
He explained that 1,226,796 candidates were made up of 657,389 males and. 576,242 sat for the examination out of the 1,233,631 that registered.
Wushishi said some schools in Bauchi, Kaduna and Bayelsa states had been recommended for deregistration due to their involvement in mass cheating/whole school cases while 20 supervisors were also blacklisted for aiding and abetting the commission of the malpractices.
