The Kano State Executive Council says it approved N245 million for the conduct of mass wedding across the state.
The state’s Commissioner for Information, Muhammed Garba, said this in a statement on Saturday.
He said the government also approved the release of N29. 3million for the 2020/2021 vaccination exercise in pastoral communities, which was suspended for three years because of the prevailing health risks and economic losses affecting some communities in the state.
Garba also said the council approved the release of N274.2 million to Kano Pillars FC to facilitate the smooth conduct of the 2020/2021 National Professional Football League season.
Also approved during the council meeting, the commissioner said, is over N1.2 billion for the completion of the rehabilitation of Ahmadu Bello Way, and N212.9 million for the reconstruction of Dangote Female Hostel at Kano University of Science and Technology Wudil.
