The Chief Imam of Kafanchan Central Mosque, in Kaduna State, Sheikh Adam Tahir, is dead.
He died at the age of 130.
He is survived by 26 children, 290 grandchildren and more than 200 great-grandchildren.
Deputy Chief Imam of Kafanchan, Alhaji Muhammad Kassim, said the deceased died on Wednesday evening after a brief illness.
Kassim said the late Imam would be greatly missed by Muslim faithful as he was a role model to all.
