The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mr John Gabaya, has been declared winner of the Chairmanship election in Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory FCT.
Mr Gabaya was declared by the Returning Officer for Chairmanship Election in Bwari Professor Amuche Madu.
Professor Masu said Mr Mr Gabaya, who is the incumbent chairman, polled 13,045 to defeat his closest rival Mr Haruna Shekwolo of All Progressives Congress (APC), who got 7,697 votes.
Mr Gabaya was then returned elected having met the requirements of the Constitution and the electoral law.
APC wins Gwagwalada
In Gwagwalada, Jibrin Abubakar of APC polled 11,125 votes, to defeat Mohammed Kasim of PDP who got 9,597 votes.
The Gwagwalada result was declared by the Returning Officer Prof. Illiyasu Umar.
