Former Manchester United and Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo has joined Saudi Arabia’s Al-Shabab from Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua.
The 31-year-old left Chinese outfit Shanghai Shenhua after agreeing a two-and-a-half-year deal with the six-time Saudi champions.
Ighalo, who spent the last year on loan at Old Trafford, was unveiled by the Riyadh-based team in a video posted on the club’s social media channels.
Al-Shabab are currently top of the Saudi Professional League, just past the halfway stage of the season. They are looking to win their first league title since 2011/12, with Ighalo a welcome capture.
