Three policemen were shot dead by gunmen at a police checkpoint in Enugu.
The incident happened along timber junction, Maryland axis in Enugu South local government area of the state.
It was also gathered that hoodlums had kidnapped a woman and her driver at the same point.
The assailants robbed a POS mobile money operator after a stray bullet hit her.
Spokesperson of the state police command, Daniel Ndukwe, has confirmed the incident.
Ndukwe said, “Information surrounding the incident is still sketchy. Meanwhile, a manhunt for the hoodlums has been initiated.
