Abdulrahman Abdu Usman, a 24-year-old son of Kano State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Dr Zahrau Muhammad Umar, has been declared missing.
Abdulrahman has been missing for about 15 days, nor has any person or group contacted the family for anything.
The family said the young man reportedly left their family house in Kano on January 17, for Katsina where he is doing his mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
They said since then all efforts to trace his whereabouts have proven abortive as he cannot be reached on his mobile phones.
The family also gathered that Abdulrahman did not arrive in Katsina.
The family has reported to the police in the state who are working round the clock for a breakthrough.
The mother, Umar said, it had been days since they saw the young man last.
