A Lagos housewife, Motunrayo, has allegedly killed her husband, Alaba (aka Bama) with pressing iron after an argument.
The incident happened at in Abule-Egba area of Lagos State.
The couple had been married for eight years and had three children.
It was learned that the couple had an argument at their house, which degenerated into a fight.
Motunrayo allegedly plugged a pressing iron, which she used to inflict burns on her husband’s chest.
The husband was said to have died from the injuries.
Until his death on January 14, 2022, the deceased was said to be the owner of the Bama Hotel and Suites in the Abule Egba area.
The argument was triggered by when Motunrayo accused the deceased of impregnating a lady, while others said it was his refusal to sack a female worker in the hotel.
The spokesperson of the Lagos Police command, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, said Motunrayo and three other suspects had been arrested in connection with the crime.
He said, “His body has been deposited in the Yaba Mainland Hospital’s morgue for an autopsy. The deceased’s wife and three others have been arrested in connection with the suspected murder case.”
