The leader of attackers on Fulani communities in Oyo state, Sunday Igboho says the pain he felt about the issue of Fulani herdsmen in the South West made him talk back at Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.
Igboho had said during a virtual town hall meeting on Wednesday with Yoruba said the Monarch should should have been bold enough to tell President Muhammadu Buhari when he visited him at the State House the whole truth and make the demands of the Yoruba people known to the President, instead of started tackling me to leave the remaining task to the government to finish.
His statement was perceived as an insult to the Monarch by many Yoruba elders.
Hours later Igboho appeared on a television interview apologizing to the Ooni “the Yoruba tradition doesn’t permit the insult of elders. But because I was pained by the issue, my tongue was caught up in the moment. I spoke according to how pained I was.”
