About 10 people were wounded on Wednesday during the stakeholders meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ilorin, Kwara state.
The meeting convened by the membership registration and revalidation committee sent from the national headquarters of the party abruptly ended with members engaged in free-for-all.
Pandemonium took over the Banquet Hall, venue of the meeting as the APC caretaker chairman Bashir Bolarinwa, APC woman leader Ramat Laide Alake and their supporters were reportedly prevented from accessing the venue of the meeting by some APC youths.
The chairman of the membership registration and revalidation screening committee, Senator John Danboyi and other members of the panel reportedly took to their hills. Several cars were also vandalised.
