At least 45 villagers have been killed and 27 others wounded over a fresh communal violence in Lafia, Obi and Awe local government areas of Nasarawa State.
The violence lasted from Friday morning and continued up to Sunday night, security sources have said.
Over 5000 farmers spread across 12 communities have been displaced due to the pogrom, another source said.
Some of the injured have been evacuated to medical facilities in Obi, Lafia and Awe.
