Bandits have shot three persons and kidnapped 11 others at Gatawa village in Sabon Birni local government area of Sokoto state.
Among the abductees was the Chief Imam of the area, Imam Aminu Garba who was kidnapped few minutes to Juma’at prayer on Friday.
It was gathered that, the Imam was kidnapped along with three others and nothing was heard yet from the bandits.
However, the bandits have again blocked Sabon Birni-Isa road today shot three persons and abducted seven.
The victims were taken to Orthopaedic Hospital, Wamakko for treatment.
According to another account, the bandits had released one of the kidnapped with a message to the families of other abductees.
“The ask them to raise some money and bring and meet them at Gangara,” the source said.
