There are explosion at the 1000 Housing Estate in Maiduguri, Borno State capital, early Saturday morning.
Boko Haram terrorists are believed to be behind the explosion that caused fears and confusion among the residents of the estate.
Sources said a rocket launcher also landed at Gomari Airport, a community about four kilometres from the airport located in the state capital.
The explosions destroyed some property inside the estate.
There are, however, no reports of fatalities from the explosion yet.
Official sources said troops of 33 artillery, Njimtelo, exchanged gun fire with terrorists on the outskirts of Maiduguri.
This is coming after at least 20 persons, including two army officers, were killed when ISWAP fighters attacked a military base in Rann, headquarters of Kala Balge Local Government Area of Borno state Friday morning.
