Former Governor of Zamfara State Abdulaziz Yari and Senator Kabiru Marafa have reconciled their political differences, Governor Mai Mala Buni, who is chairman of the APC national caretaker committee, has said.
Buni told newsmen after emerging from a meeting attended by the two politicians at the APC national secretariat in Abuja that with the reconciliation of both leaders, by extension the entire Zamfara APC has been reconciled and has become a family.
Yari said the reconciliation meeting lasted for not more than two to three hours where a lot of issues were discussed, adding that the most important was the understanding and coming together which is paramount for any success now and in the future.
Marafa expressed delight with their reconciliation, saying today marks the very beginning in the chapter of APC in Zamfara State. “I hope, given the assurances that I heard from various speakers during the meeting, that at the end of the tunnel we would see light,” he said.
