The police in Kano says it has deployed operatives for a manhunt for the kidnappers a former General Manager of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Bashir Abdullahi.
Abdullahi was abducted on Wednesday from his farm in Sitti village, Sumaila local area of the state.
Police spokesperson, Haruna Abdullahi Kiyawa, said the Commissioner of Police in the state, Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, had instructed his men from the Operation Puff Adder to go all out and rescue the victim and arrest the culprits.
He said preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was said to have relocated to his farm inside the forest for about two weeks.
Kiyawa said the Police had intensified effort to rescue the victim and arrest the suspects.
