Two prospective corps members abducted by bandits in Zamfara State while on their way to National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camps in Kebbi and Sokoto have been released.
Jennifer Awashima Iorliam and Joseph Zakaa, along with many other passengers, travelling from Benue state, were abducted at Wanzamai village along Tsafe – Gusau road at about 10:30 am on Tuesday, October 19.
Principal Special Assistant to Benue state governor, Tahav Agerzua, disclosed this on Wednesday on his Facebook page.
Other released alongside the two corps members, according to Agerzua, were Sedoo Kondo, an undergraduate of Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto; Ruth Sesuur Tsokar, who was visiting a relative in Kebbi; Muhammadu Saminu and Safiam Muhammadu who were on their way to Sokoto State.
